Pastor David

& Charissa Smith

Lead Pastor

David and Charissa have served at Family Worship Center, their first pastorate, since 1990.  Married for 32 years, they are “best friends” who minister as a team passionately serving God and loving people.  David enjoys preaching God’s Word with “refreshingly real” simplicity that can be grasped and applied to daily life.  They pursue the mission of a healthy church that makes life long followers of Jesus Christ by ministering to every age group.  Both David and Charissa continue to mentor and disciple people weekly.  In addition, to serving as Lead Pastor, David serves as the Overseer of the Church of God in the Rocky Mountain Region (Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming).  They both have a servant’s heart and want to see people changed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Pueblo and around the region.  David and Charissa enjoy reading, hiking, kayaking, fishing and the outdoors of beautiful Colorado.

Jasen & Sarah Everett

Youth Ministry Pastor

Jasen and his wife of 20 years Sarah are privileged to lead FWC Student Ministry, they've been involved in student ministries for over 15 years. They are the parents of 5 children between the ages of 9-26. Jasen was called to ministry as a teenager, but truly began pursuing the call into ministry in 2006. He was named the Student Pastor in September 2018. Jasen and Sarah are passionate about leading students to experience a relationship with Christ by applying Biblical truths to grow their faith, providing a safe place for students to gain knowledge of who Jesus is and an understanding of what, as a follower of Christ, they are called to do.

Mike & Morgan

Children's Pastors

Mike and Morgan are excited to be called by God to serve the FWC Kids Ministry. They have two children; Barrett who is 3 years old and Harper who is 1 year old. Mike was born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado and has been speaking to and serving the youth of this community since 2010. Morgan moved to Pueblo, Colorado 12 years ago from Broomfield, Colorado where she meet her husband, Mike. They have been together for 6 years. 

 

With childlike faith, Mike has left the business world to fulfill his calling and anointing that God has placed on him. Mike and Morgan have answered the calling by God to help plant seeds in this young generation and be used by Him as a tool so that kids come to know and accept Jesus Christ. Mike and Morgan not only want serve the FWC Kids but their families as well.Helping FWC families connect to God in a deeper way that effects their relationship with their kids in turn to reflect the character of God upon them. Mike and Morgan are blessed and honored to be a part of building Gods kingdom with Family Worship Center.

Quin Friberg

Life Groups/Apologetics Pastor

Quin was raised in a Christian household by parents who taught him the importance of truth as found in God’s Word. He’s lived in Pueblo for the past fourteen years, after spending his childhood in Colorado Springs. Quin is married to his beautiful wife Kayla, and has two children, Kalea and Eli. After teaching Life Groups at Family Worship Center for five years, he was brought on staff to lead the Apologetic, Life Group, and New Believer ministries. Quin is a philosophy students here in Pueblo, the author for two books, and a frequent speaker on worldview issues. His passion is to disciple and equip believers to witness and reach their friends, family, and community with the gospel.

Steve Aragon

Men's Ministry Pastor

Steve is originally from Denver, and has been attending Family Worship Center since relocating to Pueblo in 2011. Steve is married to his amazing wife and has three children. Steve accepted Christ when he was twenty-nine years old, and has a deep love for ministry, since rededicating his life to Christ in 2006. Steve began his service at FWC three years ago as the Ministry Leader for Celebrate Recovery, and is now leading the Iron Sharpens Iron (ISI) Men’s Ministry. Steve has an incredible testimony, which God is using daily to minister to men’s lives. Steve is an ASE Certified Master Technician, and in his free time you will often catch him covered in grease and oil. He has a true servant’s heart, and is passionate about helping others discover the freedom that is in Christ Jesus.


Caroline Ritterling

Insight Counseling

Caroline was born in Duluth, Minnesota, but grew up in Canada. Caroline has been married for 34 years to David Ritterling, and they have six children & five grand children. Caroline accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior when she was in the 9th grade. During a time when she was being bullied at school, some kids from the local church befriended Caroline and invited her to attend bible study. She felt the presence of God there and wanted that for her life. Caroline received Jesus that night! Caroline moved to Pueblo in 1998, and began attending Family Worship Center in 2008. Caroline is passionate about training and leading counselors in order to construct biblical lay counseling opportunities. In her free time Caroline enjoys gardening, walking, shopping in antique stores, reading, and spending time with her wonderful husband & family.

Mason Goode

Media & Worship 

Mason was born in Pueblo and has been attending Family Worship Center with his family since the age of eight. In 2023, he married his wonderful wife, Andreea, and together they have started their family with the birth of their first son, Wilder, in 2024. Mason is passionate about music, art and design, teaching, and apologetics. Since 2019, he has been actively involved in the worship team, serving as both a member and later a team leader. In addition to his role in worship, Mason also manages the digital media, social media, and visual design areas at Family Worship Center. He is grateful for the opportunity to serve and contribute to the church community.

Julia Perez

Women's Ministry

Julia is the wife of Muggzy, mother of three adult children, Jerry Monique and Sabrina, and grandmother of five.  She has a bachelor in Social Work and has worked in the substance  abuse field and also with people with developmental disabilities.  Julia has been saved for 16 years.  She did not grow up in a Christian home and in February of 2001 was radically changed after hearing a testimony of who Jesus Christ is at a home bible study.  She soon began attending church and learning more about Christ from his word.  Julia has worked in several ministries throughout the years and has a passion for evangelism and prison ministry.  Julia is thankful to God for the opportunity to assist woman in becoming life long follower of Christ through Sisters ministry here at FWC.

Chris Jaramillo

Sound Engineer

Chris is married to Lucy and together they have two daughters. Chris has been a Christian since 2005.  Chris decided to become a follower if God after hearing about Christ from a spiritual debate between two coworkers in a bar. Chris has been passionate about his ministry ever since God called him into it in 2010.


Andrew Macaluso

Young Adults Leader

Andrew and Stacy began attending FWC in 2012. They have been married in since 2000 and have 4 children; Taylor, Tony, Silas and Gracie Jo. Andrew felt called into ministry in 2015 and started in Men's and Marriage ministry with Stacy in 2016 but really felt God tugging at his heart to work with youth later that year when he was asked to serve in Student ministry. They have been involved ever since and love every minute of it. As time went on he hated seeing youth leave after high school so when he was asked to lead the Young Adult ministry, he prayed with his family and again felt the Lord growing his ministry. He began teaching Young Adults in November 2020 and is excited to see it grow where the Lord leads it. 

Silas Montoya

Worship Leader

Silas is a Pueblo Native and leads the worship teams during the month. He has attended Family Worship Center for seven years and has been a Christian since his senior year in high school. After high school he attended Kings College & Seminary and received his BA in theological studies. Silas has been married for 10 years to the most beautiful woman in the world, Tobey, and they have four children together. He loves obstacle courses and trail running.

Leroy Mora

Head of Security &

Pastoral Care

Leroy is a Pueblo native and have been married to his wife Kathy for 24 years.  The have four children ranging between the ages of 17-33, and they also have six grandchildren. Leroy was raised in a Christian household with his five sibling and after accepting Christ into his heart, he developed a passion to serve others.  Leroy holds an MBA in business and is a military veteran. After retiring from his law enforcement career, he joined the FWC leadership team to lead the S.H.I.E.L.D Protection Team, the Pastoral Care Team, and assist with the Rocky Mountain School of Ministry.

 

Leroy has experienced the mighty hand of God work in tough situations and circumstances throughout his life and because of the faithfulness of Christ, he wants to share God’s love with others to help them become lifelong followers of Christ.  

 

When he is not serving at the church, Leroy enjoys spending time with his family, running, and watching his children and grandchildren play sports.


Jimmie & Elena

Hayson

Celebrate Recovery

Jimmie and Elena Hayson met at church and Jimmie says that the second he saw her he knew she was going to be his wife. They have been married for 8 years now. They have 4 adult children, 3 grandsons and their first granddaughter is on the way. Oh and we can't leave out their 3 fur babies! Jimmie is an engineer who brings structure and stability while Elena is a Veterinary Technichian who brings creativity and fun to this ministry. Jimmie and Elena have a passion and a heart for those who are lost, broken and feel alone. They are excited to help those struggling with a hurt, habit or hang-up find a freedom and a love that can only come through Jesus Christ. Elena Celebrate's Recovery from a drug and alcohol addiction but only 1 in 3 people in Celebrate Recovery are there for an addiction. Jimmie Celebrate's Recovery over multiple hurts and hang-ups. Together they are Celebrate Recovery!
