Pastor David

& Charissa Smith

Lead Pastor

David and Charissa have served at Family Worship Center, their first pastorate, since 1990.  Married for 32 years, they are “best friends” who minister as a team passionately serving God and loving people.  David enjoys preaching God’s Word with “refreshingly real” simplicity that can be grasped and applied to daily life.  They pursue the mission of a healthy church that makes life long followers of Jesus Christ by ministering to every age group.  Both David and Charissa continue to mentor and disciple people weekly.  In addition, to serving as Lead Pastor, David serves as the Overseer of the Church of God in the Rocky Mountain Region (Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming).  They both have a servant’s heart and want to see people changed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Pueblo and around the region.  David and Charissa enjoy reading, hiking, kayaking, fishing and the outdoors of beautiful Colorado.

Jasen Everett

Youth Ministry Pastor

Jasen and his wife of 20 years Sarah are privileged to lead FWC Student Ministry, they've been involved in student ministries for over 15 years. They are the parents of 5 children between the ages of 9-26. Jasen was called to ministry as a teenager, but truly began pursuing the call into ministry in 2006. He was named the Student Pastor in September 2018. Jasen and Sarah are passionate about leading students to experience a relationship with Christ by applying Biblical truths to grow their faith, providing a safe place for students to gain knowledge of who Jesus is and an understanding of what, as a follower of Christ, they are called to do.

Brandon Pratt

Childrens Ministry Pastor

Brandon is a husband to Katie, and father to three children. He and his wife are opposites in many ways, but united in their passion to see children grow in faith and knowledge of Jesus Christ. Both had the privilege of growing up as pastor’s kids; which opened the door to numerous opportunities as they were youth to begin working with children’s ministries. Brandon had the calling God placed on him confirmed when he was 18 years old. He went through an internship program for youth and children’s ministries and obtained his ministers license through the Church of God. He has served in nearly every arena of ministry, but for the past 5 years has been exclusively working in Children’s ministry.

Steve Aragon

Men's Ministry Pastor

Steve is originally from Denver, and has been attending Family Worship Center since relocating to Pueblo in 2011. Steve is married to his amazing wife and has three children. Steve accepted Christ when he was twenty-nine years old, and has a deep love for ministry, since rededicating his life to Christ in 2006. Steve began his service at FWC three years ago as the Ministry Leader for Celebrate Recovery, and is now leading the Iron Sharpens Iron (ISI) Men’s Ministry. Steve has an incredible testimony, which God is using daily to minister to men’s lives. Steve is an ASE Certified Master Technician, and in his free time you will often catch him covered in grease and oil. He has a true servant’s heart, and is passionate about helping others discover the freedom that is in Christ Jesus.

Quin Friberg

Life Groups/Apologetics Pastor

Quin was raised in a Christian household by parents who taught him the importance of truth as found in God’s Word. He’s lived in Pueblo for the past fourteen years, after spending his childhood in Colorado Springs. Quin is married to his beautiful wife Kayla, and has two children, Kalea and Eli. After teaching Life Groups at Family Worship Center for five years, he was brought on staff to lead the Apologetic, Life Group, and New Believer ministries. Quin is a philosophy students here in Pueblo, the author for two books, and a frequent speaker on worldview issues. His passion is to disciple and equip believers to witness and reach their friends, family, and community with the gospel.

Jeremy Chavez

Mentoring/Outreach Pastor

Jeremy is the mentoring and outreach pastor at Family Worship Center. From 2013-2018 he previously served as pastor of student ministry where he had the awesome privilege of ministering the the young people of Pueblo. When he isn’t spending time at the church, he enjoys going to the zoo with his wife Angela and their son Enoch, running and taking advantage of a warm day to get out on his bike. He is currently following Jesus’ lead in building a mentoring ministry and outreach program for FWC. 

Neal Robinson

Young Adult Pastor

RMCU Administrator

Neal was born and raised in Pueblo.  He became a Christian at the age of 16 after a missionary shared the word of God with him. He lives in Pueblo West with his wife of 16 years, Yvette.  Neal has five children, two grandchildren and a great son in law.  If you don’t find Neal at the church, he is probably on the sideline of a soccer field cheering his children on.  He also enjoys camping, fishing and playing golf.  Neal’s heart is for young adults.  He hopes to create an environment of real personal relationships with Jesus and each other.  

Jacque Korell

Visual Designer

Jacque has been married to her high school sweetheart, Ryan, since 2004 and they have one daughter, Skyler. She grew up going to church, and rededicated her life to Christ in 2008 when her daughter was born. She has been attending FWC since 2009, and serving in ministry since 2013. Jacque is passionate about her calling in the world of technology.  She loves serving in the sound booth, creating the videos and graphics, and serving in several other ministries at FWC! When she’s not at church, she also enjoys spending time with her husband, homeschooling her daughter and cheering on the Colorado Avalanche!

Julia Perez

Women's Ministry

Julia is the wife of Muggzy, mother of three adult children, Jerry Monique and Sabrina, and grandmother of five.  She has a bachelor in Social Work and has worked in the substance  abuse field and also with people with developmental disabilities.  Julia has been saved for 16 years.  She did not grow up in a Christian home and in February of 2001 was radically changed after hearing a testimony of who Jesus Christ is at a home bible study.  She soon began attending church and learning more about Christ from his word.  Julia has worked in several ministries throughout the years and has a passion for evangelism and prison ministry.  Julia is thankful to God for the opportunity to assist woman in becoming life long follower of Christ through Sisters ministry here at FWC.

Jane Benitez

Office Manager

Jane & her husband, Jim have attended Family Worship Center since March of 1999.  

Jane has volunteered in different areas of ministry at FWC before her current position in the office.  They have 2 grown adult children, 5 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.  A favorite scripture 0f Jane’s is 1 Peter 2:9-10. 

Chris Jaramillo

Sound Engineer

Chris is married to Lucy and together they have two daughters. Chris has been a Christian since 2005.  Chris decided to become a follower if God after hearing about Christ from a spiritual debate between two coworkers in a bar. Chris has been passionate about his ministry ever since God called him into it in 2010.

Christain & Michelle Hand

Fusion Young Marriage Ministry

Christian and Michelle Hand have been happily married for 8 years.  They have two kids.  They both love Jesus and work to keep him at the center of their lives and serve Him daily.  They have a passion for helping young married couples connect with the church.  

Lisa Gustafson

Hospitality Team Leader

Lisa accepted Christ at the age of 23 – He is the love of her life. . Since 2007, Lisa has lived in Pueblo. She was raised in an Air Force family that moved on average every year-and-a-half. Before graduating from high school, she had moved 13 times. This experience solidified the value of belonging – to not only someone but also a group. The life-changing experience that belonging to Christ produces and having a place in the Body of Christ is her motivation for hospitality. The vision is that everyone coming through the doors of Family Worship Center is received graciously and warmly and experiences true belonging. She is married to the most-consistently-pleasant man in the world, Vic Gustafson, who is also the most-wonderful husband. They have a blended family with three great children, Birdy, Weston, and Hayden.

Caroline Ritterling

Insight Counseling

Caroline was born in Duluth, Minnesota, but grew up in Canada. Caroline has been married for 34 years to David Ritterling, and they have six children & five grand children. Caroline accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior when she was in the 9th grade. During a time when she was being bullied at school, some kids from the local church befriended Caroline and invited her to attend bible study. She felt the presence of God there and wanted that for her life. Caroline received Jesus that night! Caroline moved to Pueblo in 1998, and began attending Family Worship Center in 2008. Caroline is passionate about training and leading counselors in order to construct biblical lay counseling opportunities. In her free time Caroline enjoys gardening, walking, shopping in antique stores, reading, and spending time with her wonderful husband & family.

Silas Montoya

Worship Leader

Silas is a Pueblo Native and leads the worship teams during the month. He has attended Family Worship Center for seven years and has been a Christian since his senior year in high school. After high school he attended Kings College & Seminary and received his BA in theological studies. Silas has been married for 10 years to the most beautiful woman in the world, Tobey, and they have four children together. He loves obstacle courses and trail running.

Cindy Snyder

Celebrate Recovery

Cindy was born in Denver, CO.  She came to know Jesus as her Lord and Savoir when she was in her 20's. She has mostly served on worship teams in previous churches but served in other areas also. Her and her husband, Tom, moved here to Pueblo in 2011. They started attending Family Worship Center because Cindy wanted to attend Celebrate Recovery meetings. God called her to become a leader of Celebrate Recovery about six years ago. This program has set her free from many hurts, habits and hang-ups. They have a blended family that includes three children and five grandchildren. She likes to spend her spare time with friends and walking or riding her bike on the trails in Pueblo West.

Ben Lucero

Celebrate Recovery

Ben was born in Hardin, Montana, where his parents farmed on the Big Horn Basin. Raised in Billings, he attended Eastern Montana College and Southern Arizona Bible College. The proud father of four, grandpa to nine, and great grandpa to two, Ben retired from Colorado Department of Corrections in 2012. Saved in 2014 and by God's grace delivered from alcohol, Ben is a faithful attender at Family Worship Center and a ministry leader in Celebrate Recovery. Lovingly called "Ben the Baptist" by some of his CR co-laborers, his burning passion is to see men and women won to Christ, the Chain Breaker.
